Boats and RV’s are fun for summer use, but, once the weather becomes cold, both need to be stored for the next six or more months. A canopy, or portable garage, may be an effective way to cover a boat and protect it from weather damage. Although no portable garage or carport is quintessentially designed for a boat or RV, like boat tarps are, a great deal of carports and portable garages may fit a boat. Specifically for winter storage, a garage with sidewall flaps will protect a boat best, as long as no moisture is inside the canopy. For an RV, the cover ought to be strong sufficient to hold snow and not tear or break. In windy areas, the RV cover must likewise be anchored. But for all vehicles, the most efficient, all-purpose storage unit has a peaked steel frame and a tarp or canopy stretched over two sides. Especially for winter, a plastic frame portable garage would not be sufficient sufficient shelter for an entire season and could potentially break.

Because no cover is one size fits all, the size of the vehicle will have to be taken into account, as habit covers often times fit better than universal. While a big boat could use a truck cover for the duration of the winter, the RV’s dimensions are not the only elements to determine the size of the cover, however. Air conditioners on the roof, antennas, and other outside appendages will have to be taken into account to find a proper-fitting cover.

good overall but not strong enough

I am using it as further and added covered area for huge garden tools. Pros -stands up to wind, very easy to put up – one person may do it, two people would be better; carrying bag is a plus- peculiarly if you have a dog who is raring and decides to unpack the shipping box. He ripped the box, the carrying case and then got tired which saved the canopy from getting damaged

Cons – the fabric sags a bit and after rain it gives rise to a puddle of water that then leaks through. So I put two coats of water-proof spray – it reduced, but not totally fixed, the problem. Then one day I looked at it and it was bent way too low — the light frame could not hold the weight of the water in that “puddle” of water and bent the horizontal support pieces. It still stands but I use tarps to cover most priceless items underneath it. Would not buy it again. It ought to be good for short trips to the beach, market sales, etc. and you have to fold it after the use. Do not buy it for permanent use.

Great for the Price!

This product is outstanding for a quick pop-up and take down. I have used it in my little back yard for sun shade. We do not have much wind so I’m not sure how sturdy it is in a lot of wind. It does have stakes and rope that comes with it. It is very huge and has a lot of height. I think this is outstanding for the price. I like how it genuinely folds up and you may store it in a bag and put it in a huge deck box. It does take 2 people to put up or 1 convinced person! If you want something actually sturdy, you will have to spend more money. For little gatherings and beauteous predictable nice weather (like So Cal)and ground to stake it in, this is your product!

Great Lightweight Beach Canopy

This is a very good quality light weight canopy (20 lbs). It’s very easy to assemble and dismantle. The price is very competitory equated to other similar merchandise on the market that are much more costly and just too heavy to carry out to the beach along with everything else you have to take.
